One of the best experiences in my life was at the age of 19. I was part of a group of 40 Canadians that chartered thirteen 28 foot sailboats and sailed around the Greek Islands for two weeks. The lead ship taught us how to sail in a day and we went from port to port as a flotilla. What an experience! It felt like a month or two and we were not tourists, we sailed into a port as members of the sailing community. If you do not own your own boat, I would highly recommend going on a charter. It will change your life.
